Week of Sep 28 - Oct 3, 2009
Reminder: if you have not donated a case of water to the band, please do so ASAP. We use this to provide water for our students at the games and other times.
MONDAY, Sep 28, 9:00 am - noon: Full Band rehearsal (yes, this is a school holiday, but we need the rehearsal time)
Tues, Sep 29, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Full band rehearsal
Wed, Sep 30: No rehearsal
Thurs, Oct 1, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Full band rehearsal
Fri, Oct 2: No rehearsal
Sat, Oct 3: Football Game vs. Austin (HOMECOMING), at Butler Stadium
Band will be in full marching uniform. Students need to wear shorts and t-shirt underneath then uniform, black socks and marching shoes. For those of you who ordered marching shoes during registration, they will be passed out this week.
9:30 am - 11:00 am: Full Band rehearsal
11:00 am - 11:30 am: Lunch (BRING YOUR OWN FOOD!!!!) and change into uniform
11:30 am: Inspection
11:45 am: Leave for game
1:00 pm: Game
3:30/4:00-ish Return to school from game
As a fundraiser, the band will start selling food after school on Tues and Thurs, starting this Thurs, Oct 1 (sandwich + water + chips + fruit snack for $3.00). We need parents to help, from 2:00 pm until the food is sold (but no later than 4:00 pm). A portion of the profit will be credited to your student's account, to help pay for dues, spring trip, etc. Any parent interested in volunteering should contact Crystal Ramirez at Texastime777@att.net.
The next BBPO meeting will be Tues, Oct 6, in the band hall. Among other topics on the agenda, we will discuss this year's BBPO budget and will have samples of the Butter Braids we will be using as our main fall fundraiser.
