Game Friday AND HISD Marching Festival on Saturday
Mon, Oct 12, 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm: Full band rehearsal
Tues, Oct 13, 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm: Full band rehearsal
Wed, Oct 14: No after school rehearsal
Thurs, Oct 15, 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm: Full band rehearsal
Fri, Oct 16: Football Game vs Chavez, at Butler Stadium
- 4:00pm - 5:15pm rehearsal
- 5:15pm - 6:15pm Eat/load truck/ get into uniform. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN MEAL.
- 6:15pm - 6:30pm Inspection
- 6:30pm depart Bellaire
- 10:00/10:30-ish return to Bellaire
Sat, Oct 17: HISD Festival at Butler Stadium
- 9:15 am: call time
- 9:30 am - 11:30 pm: Rehearsal
- 11:30 am - 12:30 pm: Eat/load truck/get into uniform. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN MEAL.
- 12:30 pm: Inspection
- 12:45 pm: depart Bellaire
- 1:00 pm: Arrive at Butler/unload truck and busses
- 1:45 pm: go into warm-up
- 2:15 pm: perform
- 3:00/3:30-ish pm: return to Bellaire
Just a reminder, the following week, Tues Oct 20 is the UIL Marching Contest – the event for which the band has been working so long and so hard. They are performing at 8:30 pm at Jack Rhodes Stadium (near I-10 and Grand Parkway; see the band’s website at www.bellaireband.org for address and directions). All parents are encouraged to come out and support our band; come early and see some of the other bands perform as well and you will appreciate what our students have accomplished! Full schedule will come out in next week’s newsletter, but expect the students to be released from classes 6th and 7th periods on the 20th, and return to the school 9:30 or 10:00 that night.
