Reminder: HISD Festival tomorrow, Sat, Oct 17. Call time is 9:15 am; students need to provide their own meal. Band performs at 2:15 pm at Butler Stadium.
We need band members to donate bottled water – we use it at the games and when the BBPO provides meals to the band! Please bring it to the band hall.
Tues Oct 20 is the UIL Marching Contest – the event for which the band has been working so long and so hard. They are performing at 8:30 pm at Jack Rhodes Stadium (near I-10 and Grand Parkway; see the band's website at www.bellaireband.org for address and directions). All parents are encouraged to come out and support our band; come early and see some of the other bands perform as well and you will appreciate what our students have accomplished!
Mon, Oct 19, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Full band rehearsal – NOTE DIFFERENT START TIME
Tues, Oct 20 UIL Marching contest
- 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Rehearse (6th and 7th periods)
- 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Eat/load truck/ get into uniform BBPO WILL PROVIDE MEAL
- 5:00 pm: Inspection
- 5:30 pm: Depart Bellaire
- 7:00 pm: Arrive at Stadium, unload truck and busses
- 7:45 pm: Warm-up
- 8:30 pm: perform
- 9:30/10:00 pm: Return to Bellaire
Wed, Oct 21: No after school rehearsal
Thurs, Oct 22: No after school rehearsal
Fri, Oct 23: No after school rehearsal
Sat, Oct 24: Football Game vs Westside, at Butler Stadium
- 10:30 am: Meet to load truck
- 11:00 am: Call time for rest of band to get into uniform. EAT BEFORE YOU COME!
- 11:45 am: Inspection
- 12:00 noon: depart Bellaire
- 1:00 pm: GAME
- 3:30/4:00-ish: return to Bellaire
Mon, Oct 26: no after school band rehearsal; Region Orchestra Winds and Percussion Auditions
Tues, Oct 27: no after school band rehearsal
Wed, Oct 28: no after school band rehearsal
Thurs, Oct 29, 4:30 - 6:30 pm: full band rehearsal
Fri, Oct 30: no after school band rehearsal
